Hey everyone! I'm trying to remotely access my dad's computer in Nevada from my place in Wyoming. He recently upgraded to Windows 11 Pro, while I'm using Windows 10 Pro. I've enabled the Remote Desktop feature on his PC and ensured he's using a password for login instead of a PIN. Despite these steps, I still can't connect to his computer using Remote Desktop. Is there anything specific I might be missing to make this work?

You might need to forward some ports in your dad's router to allow Remote Desktop connections. However, that can be pretty risky, especially if you're not familiar with network settings. Instead of going that route, I recommend using software like TeamViewer or AnyDesk; they’re much more secure and easier to set up.
Consider upgrading to Windows 11 yourself since Windows 10 support is ending soon. Once you're on Windows 11, you could use the 'Quick Assist' feature to remotely access his PC, which works through Microsoft’s servers and is a safer method. If you're mainly looking to manage documents, you could suggest that he uses OneDrive for easy access and sharing, which would also let you edit files anytime, even when his PC is off.
I tried upgrading, but I'm struggling to enable tsm-2.0 for it. Any tips?
