Help! My PC Won’t Boot to BIOS After Upgrading to DDR5

Hey everyone! I'm facing some trouble with my PC. I recently switched from DDR4 RAM to DDR5, but now my computer won't boot to the BIOS at all. Initially, it did boot up and I even managed to troubleshoot from a Windows 11 USB stick, but then it crashed again. Now there's no video output and I've tried clearing the CMOS by bridging the jbat pins, but that hasn't helped. The LED debug shows an orange light for the DRAM for a few seconds before disappearing. Any ideas on what's going on and how I can fix this? Thanks!

You might want to go back and double-check all your connections, especially the RAM sticks. Sometimes re-seating them or making sure they’re fully inserted can fix boot issues. Also, since the LED debug is showing orange for DRAM, it’s possible that one of the new sticks might be faulty. Try booting with just one stick at a time to isolate the issue.

Good idea! I'll try that and see if it makes a difference.

Before diving into solutions, make sure your motherboard actually supports DDR5. Since they’re physically different, if your motherboard wasn’t designed for DDR5, it won’t work even if you tried to switch it.

It's a DDR5 motherboard, so I assumed it would work. I really can't put DDR5 sticks into DDR4 slots!
