Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC since I haven't done anything in about 8 years. I mostly play Warzone and Ready or Not for a few hours each week. Right now, my system can handle them on low to mid settings, but I want to improve the performance. I've got a budget of £300-400. Here are my current specs:

- Motherboard: B450M MORTAR MAX MS7B89
- PSU: CX550M
- CPU: RYZEN 5 3500X 6 Core 3.6GHz
- GPU: GTX 1060 6GB ASUS ROG STRIX
- RAM: 16GB

What would you recommend for upgrades? Thanks for your help!

If your RAM is in a 2x8GB configuration, adding another set of 8GB would be a good move and shouldn't cost you more than about £40-45. If your RAM is already 4x4GB, consider swapping them for a 2x16GB kit. Doing so could also allow you to downgrade your CPU choice to a 5600X to stay within budget. However, 16GB is sufficient for gaming, so you might not need to upgrade it at all.

Yeah, going for the 5600X with the RX 9060XT sounds like the best balance to me. Just check if your PSU can handle it before making any purchases!

Upgrading just the GPU to the RX 9060 is a solid strategy too, especially if you want to keep things simple for now.

With your budget, I would suggest focusing on upgrading your GPU first. A good option might be the RX 9060XT, which would provide a significant performance boost. Your CPU might bottleneck it a little, but it should still be worth it overall. If you can, consider upgrading your PSU as well, especially if you go for a more powerful GPU.

I agree with the others—upgrading the GPU will provide the best gaming experience. The RX 9060XT is a fantastic card, and if you're not concerned with ray tracing, it should fit well within your budget. Your current PSU should be enough to support a 9060XT, but it's worth checking before you buy.

You could also look into getting a 3060ti paired with a new PSU to handle it. That combo would give your rig a nice upgrade. Just make sure your budget can stretch for the PSU if you decide to go this route.
