With Windows 10 reaching its end of life on October 14, I'm trying to figure out when the very last update will be. Will the last update be the one in September, or will there still be an update in October? Since the 14th is the second Tuesday of the month, I'm assuming there will still be an update then. Am I right about that?

Yep, you'll get the last update on October 14. That's the last one available for Windows 10 before it officially reaches EOL.
You're right about that assumption! Microsoft's choice of a Tuesday for EOL updates makes sense. Still, many businesses should already be preparing to phase out Windows 10, unless they opt for extended support.
Correct, October 14 is the last day it gets any updates. If something critical comes out after that, it won't be patched unless you have the Extended Security Update (ESU).
True, but Windows 10 still has over 40% market share. There's a good chance they’ll push some updates if a big security issue arises.
October 14 is indeed the date, but realistically, you'll miss your first patch cycle on November 11 if you're not in ESU. It's like a soft deadline before the hard one.

I remember Microsoft releasing updates for XP and 7 after they reached EOL due to major exploits. Do you think they'll do the same for Windows 10?
