Hey folks! I'm putting together a new PC and I'm stuck deciding between two graphics cards: the ASRock AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming for $699 and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition for $999 (which I've already ordered but can still cancel). Here's a bit about my setup and how I plan to use it: I've got an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, a 2k ultrawide 144Hz monitor, and a Corsair 1000W power supply. I'm mainly playing games like World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and just got Battlefield 6 that won't need frame generation. I'm planning to keep this build for about 5 to 6 years. Any thoughts on which card would be the better choice? Thanks a ton!

I'd steer you clear of the XTX. It doesn’t handle upscaling well and might struggle over time compared to newer options. Consider grabbing the 5080 or even a 5070 Ti, which could fit your setup better. The price difference is worth the performance.
Honestly, if you're keeping the GPU for 5-6 years, I'd recommend sticking with the 5080. It's a no-brainer for longevity, especially with the performance it offers. Just stick to your order!
Totally agree, the 5080 has better features and it’s more future-proof! The XTX isn’t a great investment if you’re thinking long-term.
