I currently have an Intel 13700KF and I'm using a 6750 XT graphics card on a Z690 motherboard. I'm thinking about upgrading to a more powerful GPU since I game on a 4K 60Hz monitor. My concern is that I might end up wasting the potential of a high-end GPU if my CPU can't keep up. For instance, would a 5080 be a good match for the 13700KF, or would it be better to consider a less powerful option?

It really depends on your specific games. If you're into strategy games, the CPU may limit things a bit at lower resolutions, but at 4K, you should be fine! That said, I'd personally suggest stopping at a 5070 Ti for a good balance.
Yeah, 4K really shifts the load to the GPU instead of the CPU. I think you'll be happy with any modern GPU.
Honestly, the 13700K is still one of the best gaming CPUs out there. You shouldn't hesitate to grab the best GPU you can afford without worrying about being CPU-bound.
If you're gaming at 4K, the GPU will handle most of the load. I say go for the best GPU you can swing—like the 5080. The CPU won't hold you back in pretty much all situations.

I mostly play strategy games and could care less about competitive FPS. Thanks for the advice!
