I'm having trouble with my Bluetooth headphones' microphone on my Windows 11 PC. The mic works perfectly when I connect the headphones to my phone, but when I connect them to my computer, it just doesn't pick up any sound at all. Windows recognizes the headphones immediately, but there's no audio input. I've tried a bunch of solutions like disconnecting and reconnecting, restarting my PC, using a wired connection, and uninstalling/reinstalling the audio driver, but nothing has worked. Interestingly, in the output settings, when I test the mic at 50% volume, it doesn't register sound and the 'Volume' indicator is stuck at 0% despite the volume slider being set to 50%. When I adjust the slider to 100%, the volume percentage label fluctuates weirdly – sometimes showing 6%, sometimes 29%, and even 10%! In the Device properties under Recording and Levels, it shows that the mic is at 100% and not muted. I've had this headset for almost a year without any issues, and it's the first time trying to use the mic on my new PC. Can anyone help me figure this out?

If the mic shows up in the sound settings but still isn’t working, make sure your audio settings are selecting the correct device. Sometimes, it defaults to a different mic. Also, check if there are any software updates for your Bluetooth driver or Windows itself. Those can often fix connectivity issues!
First, check if your mic is listed in the sound control panel under recording devices. If it is, that's a good sign! Since you're using a Bluetooth dongle, try connecting it directly to a USB port rather than using an extension. Also, some headsets come with their own app that might be required for full functionality. Make sure you install that if it exists!
Yes, it does show up in the sound control panel, and I’m definitely using a USB dongle for Bluetooth. But even wired, it won’t work.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check for updates and see if that helps.
