I'm a complete newbie to building PCs and have never done anything like it before, not even wired a plug. I'm currently putting together my first build and have most of the components sorted. I've got a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, a Scythe Mugen CPU cooler, an Asus Prime B650-Plus motherboard, 32GB of Patriot Viper Venom memory, a Kingston KC3000 2TB SSD, and an Antec C5 ARGB ATX Mid tower case. The only part I'm stuck on is the GPU. I plan to play a variety of games including FPS titles like Rainbow Six Siege, RDR2, and Minecraft, and I also want to use digital art software like Krita with an external tablet for drawing. Ideally, I'd love to set this up with a couple of 144hz monitors. Any suggestions on a compatible GPU?

Almost any GPU should work with your Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Do you have a specific budget in mind? Also, where are you located?
If it fits your budget, a 5070 Ti would be a solid choice. Here’s a link to my PC build for reference: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/bfT7Lc
Haha, that's definitely out of my range! But thanks for the suggestion!
I'm in the UK and trying to stick to a total budget of £1,500. I want something that will last since this will be my daily driver. I’m transitioning from a 2018 MacBook Pro, so this is all new for me.
