I recently lost my job and I'm on the hunt for a new one. What are the most reliable websites or methods to find job listings?

These days, it feels like there are really just a couple of major players—Indeed and ZipRecruiter. I've found ZipRecruiter pretty useless, and LinkedIn has a lot of scams and outdated postings. It's frustrating, but honestly, Indeed is still probably the best option out there, even with its quirks. Just be prepared for some spam! Good luck with the job search!

Definitely use LinkedIn and Indeed to kick off your search, but make sure to follow up on the company’s own website. I found that a lot of job postings can be old or stale on those aggregator sites. And, keep your LinkedIn profile up to date—it's a good way to make yourself stand out even before they meet you!

I stumbled across Meetup.com—it’s not just for events, some people post job opportunities there too! Worth checking out if you're networking.

Honestly, the best place to look for jobs is often directly on a company's own website. Job boards tend to flood you with a ton of applications, making it tough for hiring managers to sift through everything. If you can pinpoint companies in your area that might be hiring, check out their careers page. It might take a bit more effort on your part, but you'll likely have a better chance of getting noticed. There may also be local job boards that aren’t overwhelmed with applicants.

Totally agree! I’ve had great luck finding jobs on a company's website after spotting them on sites like Indeed or LinkedIn. If you're a strong candidate, it usually leads to at least an interview.

100% true! That's exactly how I landed my current position too, just going straight through the company site.
