Understanding BIOS Message About Settings and Optane

I encountered a BIOS message that says, 'Please enter setup to recover BIOS setting.' It appears after I set up Intel(R) Optane Memory or RAID. The message suggests that I need to set VMD options based on the interface type to prevent unknown issues. I can press F1 to continue and enjoy optimized performance from ASUS, but it also advises disabling ASUS Multicore Enhancement (MCE) in the BIOS if I want to adhere to Intel's guidelines for power limits. Can someone explain what this all means and how I should proceed?

This is normally just a message you get after your first boot or if you reset things. You can usually ignore it and proceed as normal.

I would like to bypass this message at startup, though. Is that possible?

What were you trying to do when you saw this message?

I just booted up!

You need to enable VMD and use the IRST driver for RAID or Optane to work correctly. MCE is a feature that boosts all cores to max frequency, which might not always be what you want. It's similar to AMD's PBO2, where vendors extend the power limits for CPUs.

Where can I find that option in the BIOS?

It sounds like you're dealing with a common BIOS message after setting up RAID or Optane. Typically, this message indicates that something might've gone wrong with your setup. Have you saved your RAID setup? It often shows up after a failed configuration. If you’ve got a newer Intel CPU, like the 13th or 14th gen, it’s advisable to turn off MCE. Also, what are your PC specs?
