Why is my new GPU giving me beeping errors?

I recently installed a new GPU (ASUS PRIME AMD 9060XT 16GB) in my PC, but when I boot it up, I hear one long beep followed by three short beeps. This beep pattern suggests there's an issue with the GPU. However, when I switch back to my old GPU (ASUS DUAL 1660 Super OC), everything works perfectly. Here are my PC specs: ASUS Prime H610M-E D4 motherboard, Intel i5 12400f CPU, and 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM. I found out later that my BIOS was outdated, and after updating it to the latest version, the problem was resolved.

If it's brand new, I’d recommend returning it for a replacement right away. Stores have a DOA (dead on arrival) policy for situations like this, so they should test it out for you.

I had a similar problem once where the beeping turned out to be because my PSU wasn't powerful enough. I had to upgrade my power supply, and that fixed the issue for me.

Try using the old 1660 Super to perform a DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode first. Don't install any new drivers before you swap back to the 9060XT, then install the Adrenaline software and required drivers after that.

I tried that, but it still beeped the same way. Looks like it might be a hardware issue, possibly with the motherboard or GPU. I might need to get the GPU tested on another rig.

It's beeping at POST, so Windows drivers shouldn't even be a factor here!

Updating my BIOS fixed a similar issue for me too. It's definitely worth checking that if you haven't already.
