Should I replace my laptop battery after 3 years?

I've got an ASUS TUF Gaming F15 that's about three years old. At first, I wasn't very cautious about battery health, but later on, I started limiting the charge to 80%. I usually keep it plugged in for around 5-7 hours a day since I don't often use it unplugged. I checked the battery report, and it shows a design capacity of 47,997 mWh but a current full charge capacity of only 14,889 mWh. Is this situation okay to continue with, or when should I consider replacing the battery?

You should be fine! I often advise my customers not to spend money on a new battery if they mainly use their laptop plugged in. Just keep an eye out for any swelling or issues. If that starts happening, then you might want to change it out.

Got it, thanks! I was thinking of replacing it before college next year since I'll definitely need it unplugged more often.
