I enabled the EXPO setting in my BIOS, but my RAM is only showing 3200MHz on MSI Afterburner. I expected it to show 6400MHz. Can anyone help me understand why it's only displaying 3200MHz?

Remember that DDR stands for double data rate. So, when your RAM is running at 3200 MHz, it's actually transferring data at 6400 MT/s. Sometimes, manufacturers mess with the numbers, which makes it confusing for users. You might be right on target!
Have you checked Task Manager? It might give you a clearer picture of what your RAM is actually doing.
It looks like what you're seeing is actually the clock speed of your GPU's VRAM, not your system RAM. The two can often get confused, especially in software displays. Double-check to see if your main RAM is actually running at the speed you expect!
Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up!
Just a heads up, if you're using an integrated GPU, that might affect how RAM speed is reported.
Exactly! Just to clarify, when they say 6400, they're actually referring to the mega-transfers per second (MT/s). So, a clocked speed of 3200 MHz gives you that 6400 MT/s because data moves on both edges of the clock cycle. Stick with the correct terminology, and you'll avoid confusion!
Yeah, it shows 6400 in Task Manager.
