I'm having a bit of a problem with Apple Pay. Whenever I use it, the order notifications come to my main email address instead of my Apple ID email. It's not just a forwarded message; it's addressed directly to my main email, which they shouldn't have access to. I really want to know how to fix this issue so that my main email isn't leaked when I use Apple Pay.

That's just how Apple Pay operates with online orders! The system is designed to work with the email associated with your payment methods. It can be tricky sometimes.
You can find the email setting in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Email (look under Transaction Defaults). Some merchants require an email to process the order, so it's worth checking what email is linked there.
It’s the iCloud email that's already set there. I’ve double-checked it. That's why it's confusing that I'm still getting notifications on my main email.
Apple Pay doesn't necessarily use your Apple Account email for notifications. You might want to check your settings to see if there's an option that needs changing. There's a guide on how to do that, and it might help!
Thanks, I had already seen this.
I appreciate your thorough insight.
