Should I Upgrade My CPU or GPU First, or Just Hold Off for Now?

I'm currently using an Intel Core i7 12700KF paired with an RTX 3070, and I'm trying to figure out whether I should upgrade my CPU or GPU first, or if an upgrade is even necessary at this point. The most demanding game I play is Cyberpunk, and while my setup runs it smoothly, I'm wondering how well it will hold up with newer titles in the future. Any insights would be really helpful!

It depends on your resolution. If you're gaming at 1440p or higher, then upgrading from the 3070 could be a solid choice. But since you're at 1080p and not feeling the need to go higher, you might be fine sticking with what you have for now.

Yeah, I’m also on 1080p and don’t feel the need to push it just yet. I think I’ll hold off for a bit.

Honestly, upgrading the 3070 seems like a no-brainer, but I suggest waiting for some cooler GPUs or price drops. There's usually something better just around the corner!

It's generally a good idea to stick with your current hardware until you really notice it struggling. The longer you wait to upgrade, the better performance you'll get for your investment. Prices tend to drop as newer tech comes out, so patience can pay off!

That's a great point! I hadn’t thought about it that way. If prices fall, it makes sense to wait a bit. I might aim for a Christmas upgrade.
