Should I Upgrade to an RX 9060 XT or 5060 TI for Casual Gaming?

I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU to either an RX 9060 XT 16GB or a 5060 TI for some casual gaming (I usually play about 1-2 hours a day). I mostly enjoy single-player games and want to dive into newer titles like Dying Light 2, but I'm a bit worried my current setup won't handle it well. I also use my PC for programming and development side projects, and aside from gaming, I'm pretty satisfied with my build.

I'm concerned about compatibility with my existing setup. I did some research and found that the CPU bottleneck is minimal at 1440p, so I'm also contemplating a CPU upgrade. Do you think it's worth upgrading now or should I save for a few months to build a new system completely? Thanks for your input! Here's my current setup:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- Motherboard: Mag Mortar B550M
- RAM: 2x8GB
- GPU: RX 570
- PSU: Core GM650

The RX 9060 XT is solid, and your B550 motherboard supports PCIe 4.0, which is great. A CPU upgrade to a Ryzen 5600 would not only enhance your processing power but also maximize your GPU performance. If you're looking to upgrade, saving a bit more for a complete build could be worthwhile, especially if you're eyeing newer tech. Just weigh your options based on how soon you want to game at higher settings!

Appreciate the input! I'll think about the 5600 along with the 9060 XT.

Upgrading to the RX 9060 XT now could be a really smart move! It offers great performance for the price, especially compared to the new 5060 TI. Plus, you can carry it over to your next build later. Since you mentioned your RAM is 2x8GB at 3200 MHz, that should be decent, but keep an eye on bottlenecks when you do upgrade your CPU. If you're considering upgrades, Black Friday might be a great time to snag some deals!

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely leaning towards the 9060 XT now.

I'm in a similar boat, looking at GPU upgrades myself! Depending on local prices, upgrading to the 9060 XT seems like a good bet rather than the 5060, especially for the performance you get. If you decide to go the whole upgrade route, building a new PC might be a better long-term investment, especially with how fast tech evolves!

Totally understand where you're coming from! I might just save for a full build too.
