Is the 5070 (Non TI) a Good Choice for My First Build Compared to the 4070 Super?

Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC build and need some advice on whether to go with the 5070 (non TI) or the 4070 Super. I've heard mixed things—some say the 5070 is a bad upgrade from anything 4070 Super and even worse in some cases. But I really want a decent GPU for high FPS gaming on my 27" 1440p monitor. Here are the prices I'm seeing: 4070 Super Gigabyte Windforce OC at $780 and 5070 Zotac at $765. Are they really that different, or is the 5070 still a good pick for a first-time build? I appreciate any insights!

Honestly, the 5070 and 4070 Super are pretty similar. Since the 5070 is cheaper, why not go for it? You’ll likely get similar performance without spending extra cash!

Totally agree! It seems like some folks are way too harsh on the 5070. It’s really not that bad, even if it’s been getting some hate. Definitely do your research and see what works for you!
