Is Cloning an SSD with Macrium a Good Idea?

I'm looking to clone my SSD using Macrium Software, as I saw in a YouTube video. My plan is to transfer everything over to a new SSD while keeping some stuff, like games, on the old drive as a backup. I've heard it might be better to do a fresh install of Windows, but I'm unsure how to approach that. Here's a link to the adapter I'll be using: [SSK Aluminum Enclosure Adapter](https://www.amazon.co.uk/SSK-Aluminum-Enclosure-Adapter-External/dp/B07MNFH1PX).

If the cloning process goes smoothly, you can just swap out the old drive for the new one and everything should work as it did before. Just remember, your old drive will still stay intact after the clone. However, cloning can sometimes be tricky, so I’d suggest using the cloning software provided by the new drive’s manufacturer—it's usually better suited for their specific drives. If you're using a WD SSD, here's a helpful link to their software: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/14926.

Thanks for the tip! Also, is there a way to check if the cloned files on the new SSD match those on the old one?
