Why is my new PC underperforming in games?

I just upgraded to a new PC featuring an i5 14400f CPU, RTX 5060 graphics card, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, but I'm frustrated because the performance in games like Apex Legends and Call of Duty seems really off. Despite running on low settings, I'm noticing that my CPU usage is often hitting 70-80% in Call of Duty Warzone and even peaking at 100% in the task manager, while my GPU usage barely goes above 60%. I can't figure out why my FPS is stuck below 130 in COD and around 200 in Apex Legends.

I've seen other people with similar specs getting much higher FPS and CPU usages, and I wonder if the DDR5 RAM they're using could be the reason for my underwhelming performance compared to my older setup featuring a 1660 Super and i5 10400f. Also, my temperatures seem normal, usually ranging from 50-65°C. I'd appreciate any insights on how to improve my system's performance!

You might want to increase your graphics settings a bit. If you’re sticking to low settings for competitive reasons, consider using Nvidia DSR to upscale your resolution; it can make a big difference in visuals and push your GPU harder, reducing the CPU bottleneck. Just be aware it can lower FPS a bit.

What refresh rate does your monitor have? If your FPS is higher than your monitor's refresh rate, the extra frames don't get displayed, leading to lower GPU usage.

I'm using a 144Hz monitor.

Honestly, your DDR4 RAM is likely bottlenecking your setup. An upgrade to DDR5 could really help. Also, what kind of storage are you using?

I've got a Kingston NV3 SSD 1TB, but my motherboard is an ASUS D4, so I'd need to upgrade that too.
