How Can I Get an Ethernet Connection While Staying in a Hotel?

I'm currently living in a hotel and I need to set up an Ethernet connection for my remote job, but the hotel only offers insecure WiFi. I heard that a mini travel WiFi router with an Ethernet port might be the solution, but I'm not very tech-savvy. Can someone guide me through the equipment I need to buy and how to set it up so I can meet my employer's Ethernet connection requirements? I would really appreciate any help!

It's great that you're looking for a solution! What you need to do is plug the travel router into a power source, connect it to the hotel's WiFi through its interface, and then use the Ethernet cable to connect your PC to the router. It sounds tricky, but usually, there's a straightforward setup guide that comes with it, and it isn't too complicated once you get the hang of it!

Thanks for that! Do you know if I can find a video tutorial online that walks through the setup process?

You’ll definitely need a travel router that supports Ethernet connections. A good option is the TP-Link AC750. This router will connect to the hotel's WiFi and provide you with a secure network along with an Ethernet port for your PC. Just grab an Ethernet cable as well, and you should be set!

So, how exactly do you set up the TP-Link once you have it? Is it a complicated process?
