Hey everyone! I recently took off the heatsink from my motherboard to make space for my CPU cooler. Now, I'm wondering about this blue ASUS sticker that's on the heatsink area I won't be using. Is it safe to leave it there, or should I remove it? I've already taken off one thermal pad sticker because I needed that space, and I'm just cautious about potential damage or short circuits if I leave things as they are. Thanks for any advice!

If you're not going to use that M.2 slot, it's fine to leave the sticker on. Just make sure to remove the plastic on the thermal pad if you plan to install an SSD there. Otherwise, you should be good!
Yeah, the blue sticker looks like it’s for a thermal pad that your NVMe drive would use. Manufacturers don’t just slap on random stickers, so it’s meant to be there. If you’re not using that slot, you can leave the sticker on without worrying about damage to your PC.
Awesome, that helps a lot! Just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t run into problem leaving it exposed.
Got it! So I can safely leave the area as it is without any issues? Thanks for the reassurance!
