I'm having trouble finding a 9800X3D in stock right now. Would the 7800X3D be a good substitute? Also, what's a reliable AM5 motherboard that would pair well with it?

We can’t really give a definitive answer without more details about what you’ll be using it for. Many users have had great experiences with the 7800X3D, but it’s best to choose a motherboard based on your personal needs and preferences. Your original post didn’t provide much context, so it’s hard to make a tailored suggestion.

Yeah, the 7800X3D is definitely a solid choice! A lot of people say there's only about a 10-15% performance difference, but in real world scenarios, it's often less than 5%. Just pick a motherboard that has the features you need. Whether it's B650 or X670, they all work pretty well with the 7800X3D.

I just got my 9800X3D from Newegg! If you’re gaming at 1440p, the CPU might not matter as much, but I recommend waiting for it to come back in stock. The price jumped a bit, but it’s still worth it for the performance boost. Just keep an eye on sites like Amazon and Newegg. If you’re in a rush, you could buy one now, but it might be a bit pricier than usual.

Let me double-check that, haha! It could have been a mistake on my end.

I checked too, and it seems sold out everywhere unless you wanna pay extra.
