Hey everyone! I'm new here and hope I'm asking this in the right place. I noticed something odd when I opened my Task Manager. My CPU usage skyrockets to 100% right after starting up, then suddenly drops down to 1%, even though no processes seem to be running. This makes it really tough to pinpoint the issue with Task Manager. I tried using Process Explorer and spotted a suspicious svchost.exe process without a traceable file path. When I attempt to end this process, it just comes back. Could this be a CPU miner, or is there something else going on? I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

Hey! So, svchost.exe is actually a legitimate Windows process, and while it can sometimes cause high CPU usage, it's not necessarily a virus or a miner. It’s pretty normal for Task Manager to spike when opening it since it has to load all the processes and tasks first. If you want more reassurance, check out some threads that explain this. It's not uncommon for people to see similar behavior, so don't worry too much about it!
Thanks for clarifying that! It definitely eases my mind to know it’s a normal process.
