I'm really excited about Battlefield 6 and ready for an upgrade from AM4 to AM5! I'll be keeping my RX 7800 XT for a bit until I can snag an RTX 5070 Ti (or a Super version) once it's out. I want to build a PC that offers the best performance for Battlefield 6, especially since I have a 1440p 180hz monitor.
Here are the CPUs I'm considering:
1. **Ryzen 9 9700X:** It's the most affordable of the Zen 5 processors with some overclocking capability. Seems like a solid choice, but can it compete with the X3D chips in heavy CPU scenarios?
2. **Ryzen 7 7800X3D:** This one is touted as the best for gaming thanks to its 3D V-Cache, but it's an older Zen 4 model and I've heard it can get pretty hot.
3. **Ryzen 7 9800X3D:** The top-tier choice with the latest Zen 5 architecture and 3D V-Cache. It's getting great reviews, but it's quite pricey.
Given my focus on Battlefield, which CPU should I go for? Is upgrading from the 7800X3D to the 9800X3D worth it, or would the 9700X provide better value if I'm planning to upgrade my GPU later? Looking for your thoughts and suggestions!

Honestly, it comes down to your budget. If the 9800X3D is within reach, I say go for it—it'll give you the best performance and longevity in the long run.
I get that! It’s just about saving up for it and timing my purchase right. Plus, I’m super excited for the launch!
