Looking for Advice on Buying My First Gaming Laptop or PC

I'm transitioning from console gaming to PC gaming and need some guidance on what type of gaming laptop or PC to buy. I've never gamed on a computer before and don't consider myself very tech savvy. I'm motivated to make the switch because of the huge variety of games and mods available on PC. My budget is around $400 to $900, and I'm not sure if I can get something decent within that range or if I should keep saving. Any recommendations or general advice would be greatly appreciated!

I get what you're saying about wanting a laptop for portability, but honestly, if your budget is $900, you’re better off with a desktop. You'd get more power for your money. Gaming laptops usually can't deliver the same performance as similarly priced desktops. Just something to consider!

Have you thought about whether you want a laptop or a desktop? Laptops are great for gaming on the go, but if you're spending 900 bucks, I would recommend going with a desktop. Gaming laptops often struggle with power and thermal efficiency, and you might not get the performance you're hoping for. Plus, desktops can be upgraded over time!
