I've been having some unexpected issues with my devices not charging. It's not just my MacBook—my tablet and headphones have become unresponsive too. Initially, everything was fine, but over the last two days, I've noticed that while my computer charges well, other devices using the same extension cord don't seem to charge properly. I tried swapping out extension cords, adapters, and cables, and for a moment it looked like it was working, but then I realized it was just pretending to charge.
At school, my tablet usually hovers around 8% while I'm using it on charge without dying, but at home, it just won't charge properly. I even tried a power bank, and it worked for one night but has since stopped. It's strange because my computer charges without any issues on the same extension cord. While I suspect it might be something wrong with the devices, it's affecting multiple different types, like my headphones, tablet, and stylus. I also have pets that may have tampered with the cords, but they don't usually stay around that area. I'm really curious if anyone has any ideas on what could be causing this sudden charging issue?

Do all your devices use the same charger? If you’re using splitters or a multi-port charger, that might be causing the problem. It sounds like something isn’t providing enough power or negotiating properly with your devices. A low-powered charger might work for one device but not for others, especially when they're in use. Are you using different OEM chargers for your devices, or are they all after-market?
Try plugging your tablet and headphones directly into a different wall socket, preferably not the same circuit as your room. If they charge fine elsewhere, then it’s likely a wiring issue with your outlets. However, if they still don’t charge no matter where you plug them in, the problem is probably with the adapters or cables themselves. Good luck!
I've been trying this for a couple of days too! Generally, switching to different wall sockets works, but sometimes the same socket will just refuse to charge... it's frustrating!
They all have different OEM chargers, with 1 lightning and 2 USB-C, so that shouldn't be the issue.
