How can I check the HDMI specifications on my laptop?

I'm using an HP Victus 15 with a Ryzen 7 8845HS and an RTX 4060. I'm looking to buy a 1440p display, but I've noticed that most monitors with that resolution tend to be 165Hz or higher. I need to know if my laptop's HDMI port can support 1440p at 165Hz at least. Also, if my HDMI can't handle it, is there a way to connect through USB-C to DisplayPort? Thanks!

Actually, not all 1440p monitors are set to just 165Hz. There are plenty of them that run at lower refresh rates too, and you can always limit the refresh rate in the settings of your monitor. For the HDMI specs, a quick search for your laptop model should reveal that info pretty easily!

Connecting via USB-C to DisplayPort is a great option! You can use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, which will give you features like adaptive sync and can bypass the integrated GPU. Just make sure your USB-C port supports video output!

Does USB-C have any bandwidth restrictions? I think my USB-C is limited to around 5Gbps with the Gen 3.2 standard.
