Hey everyone! So I've had my PC for about five years now, and I've made a few upgrades along the way. I started with a Ryzen 5600G and integrated graphics, but last year I upgraded to a 7800XT, and I primarily game at 1440p. Now, I've been considering upgrading to a 5700X3D to better pair with my GPU. However, I'm kind of torn between that and saving up for an AM5 upgrade next year. Do you all think the performance improvement would be worth the cost, or should I hold off and save my money instead? Thanks for any advice you can give!

Before jumping to the 5700X3D, consider the cost. It’s around 240 euros for a new one, right? Maybe you should just save that cash for an AM5 upgrade instead. If you really want to boost your performance, going for a 5600X might be the better route since it doubles your L3 cache without breaking the bank!
That's a good point! Saving for AM5 seems smart if you're planning to upgrade again soon.
