I'm having a frustrating issue where an outdated version of .Net keeps reinstalling itself on my server. I'm pretty sure there's a program that's dependent on it, but I'm having a tough time figuring out which one it is. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to find out what's triggering this installation?

Is your server a Dell by any chance?
Have you checked the logs to see when .Net is being reinstalled? It might help to figure out if anyone is logging in around that time. Also, look into any GPOs or SCCM tasks that might be responsible. Don't forget to check Task Scheduler too!
