My PC Powers Up But There’s No Display – What Can I Do?

Hey folks, I recently upgraded my PC and I'm having some issues. Here's what I have now: an ASrock B850 Livemixer Wi-Fi motherboard, Gigabyte RTX 5080 Gaming OC GPU, Ryzen 7 98003DX CPU, and 64GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM (2x32GB at 6400MHz). I'm using an old 850W EVGA PSU which I used for my previous RTX 3060 setup, so I'm not entirely sure about its capability with the new components. I've kept my old SSDs and HDDs as well.

When I power on my PC, the fans start spinning and the GPU lights up. The motherboard shows a sequence of red, orange, and then white lights, but eventually it just goes quiet. My monitor briefly shows a message about no display or no signal when I press the space bar. I suspect the PSU might be the culprit, and I'm planning to buy a new one tomorrow, but I'd love some troubleshooting tips in the meantime!

Have you checked if the RAM is correctly seated? Sometimes if your RAM isn't properly installed, it can cause boot issues like this. Also, if you have multiple RAM sticks, try booting with just one to see if it changes anything. Lastly, make sure your monitor is functioning properly by testing it with another device.

Good point! I'll try that with the RAM and also check my monitor with another device.

First off, check that your motherboard is compatible with the Ryzen CPU. Since you mentioned it's a new motherboard, make sure the BIOS is up to date. You can also try reseating your GPU to ensure it's properly connected. Another thing to check is whether all PSU cables are connected correctly—especially those from the PSU to the motherboard and GPU.

Yeah, I updated the BIOS using Flashback recently. I'll definitely try reseating the GPU and checking all the connections.
