Help! My New Laptop Froze and I Can’t Fix It

I recently bought an ASUS ZenBook 14 (model UM3406KA-PP195W) that came with Windows 11 Home. Initially, everything was fine; I followed the setup instructions, charged it, and started to use it by downloading Chrome and browsing YouTube. However, after about 20 minutes of use, the laptop froze on me. I got an 'automatic repair' screen that prompted for a key, which I provided, but it failed to repair the computer. I tried accessing the advanced settings and even attempted to reset the device, but nothing worked. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm not sure what to do. Additionally, I took the laptop to a technician who managed to fix the issue, suggesting that the Windows setup might have been faulty or had missing files.

It sounds like you might have had a corrupted OS or some issues with the initial setup. It’s not uncommon for a new computer to have a few hiccups. Since your technician was able to solve it, that’s great! In the future, always check if there's a restore partition on your laptop, which can help in such situations. It’s a good idea to back up your data regularly too, just in case things go south again.

When you mentioned a key, were you referring to a recovery key? If it was a brand new laptop, there shouldn’t be any issues like that unless there was a mix-up. It's good to hear the problem got resolved, but always keep an eye on how the system performs moving forward!
