Hey everyone, I'm really stuck here. I've spent over four hours this afternoon trying to transfer data from my old iPhone to my new one. I even spent two hours on a call with Apple support, but they couldn't help me. They tried to pass me to 'senior support', but I got cut off after waiting on hold for another thirty minutes.
I've followed all the advice I could find online - using hotspots, making sure my iOS is updated, avoiding signing into Apple Pay during the transfer, and more. But nothing seems to be working. I really need some help on this!

I had the same problem for a while. I’m on Sky mobile and WiFi, but after hours of trying everything, I did a hard reset and connected to an EE WiFi at my local Tesco, and it worked on the first try! You might want to give that a go.
I’m in the same boat, and it’s super frustrating! I’m also based in the UK. I get the message ‘verification failed’ when I try to sign in. I spoke to a senior support engineer who mentioned that there could be issues with Sky users due to something called Sky Shield. I disabled it on my end, but still no luck. I think it’s something on Apple’s end that's affecting a lot of people.
Oh no, I get that issue too! This is just the worst.
Yeah, it’s definitely an issue happening to a lot of users in the UK. Not much being said by Apple about it, which is concerning.
I know, right? I expected more communication from Apple considering how long this has been a problem.
When I faced this issue, I ended up transferring my data manually focusing on the important documents. However, this strategy might not be as effective with an iPhone. The second time it broke, I used a tool called iMazing, and it helped me sync all my data smoothly. It has features that iOS lacks.
Has anyone actually gotten their data transferred successfully in the UK? I’ve tried both methods for hours, and I’m still stuck.
It’s not just a Sky issue, it seems like it’s happening for many in the UK.
