Advice Needed: Choosing the Right CPU for Development and Virtualization

Hey everyone! I'm a bit torn about which CPU to select for a new build I've started after buying a 5070TI and 5080. It's been around five years since I've kept up with the hardware scene, and since I've used Intel CPUs for about 15 years, I do have a preference there. However, my main focus for this setup isn't gaming - I primarily do development and programming across various platforms, so I'm really looking for solid virtualization capabilities. I might dabble in some light AI/ML testing, but nothing too intensive.

I'd like your opinions on what mid to high-range CPU I should consider for my needs. I'm not looking into Xeons or Threadrippers since I already have those for heavier workloads. I have a flexible budget; I just want to make a wise choice. Currently, I've got a few options in mind: the i7-14700k, Ultra 7 265KF, 9800X3D, and 7800X3D. I'm also considering pushing the envelope a bit with the Ultra 9 285K, i9-14900K, or 9950X3D. What do you all think?

Given that you're not into gaming, the 9950X3D might not be necessary since it's pricier and aimed at gamers. The 9950X (non-X3D) is a top-notch productivity chip. Plus, the Intel Ultra Series has some really solid options too!
