I'm trying to switch from an iPhone 14 Plus to a 16 Plus, and I'm having serious trouble. During the setup process, it keeps telling me that the backup can't be restored. None of my apps, data, or photos are transferring over, and I'm left puzzled as to why this is happening. Has anyone experienced this before?

Honestly, you should make sure your iOS is updated to the latest non-beta version available before trying again. Sometimes that resolves a lot of issues like this.
Have you checked if there's a complete iCloud backup on your old phone? That's essential for a smooth transfer. Otherwise, you might miss out on everything you want to keep.
When you're transferring data during the setup, usually only apps, some settings, and your Home Screen setup are included. If you're hoping to get your photos through iCloud, that might be a separate step. Where are you expecting everything to come from?
