I've got a Dell S2715H monitor with built-in speakers, and it used to work as an audio output device with my NVIDIA GPU. However, after following a PC optimization guide, my monitor stopped being recognized as an audio output option. I've tried reverting some of the changes I made, reinstalling NVIDIA drivers, and even downloading the monitor's drivers from the manufacturer's site, but nothing seems to work. I've unplugged the HDMI, rebooted multiple times, and even uninstalled the Generic PnP monitor from the device manager, yet my monitor still won't show up in the audio settings. I used command prompt to check for and repair broken drivers as well, but still no luck. I'm really frustrated and could use some help to get my monitor's speakers working again.

Have you checked your audio settings? Right-click the audio icon in your taskbar and go to 'Playback devices'. Make sure to look in the advanced section as well. Sometimes it might not show up right away, but it should be listed there. If it’s not, that could be part of the problem!
Thanks for the tip! I just checked, and my monitor doesn’t show up in the advanced settings either. The only output device listed is "Realtek High Definition Audio". It’s frustrating!
That’s tough! You might also want to try switching the HDMI ports or checking if the monitor settings have any audio options to enable the speakers. Sometimes it can be a simple oversight in settings.
