I've got an ASUS Prime B450 M-A II with the latest BIOS, but I've heard it has relatively weak VRMs. I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600 and I'm wondering if my motherboard can handle something with a bit more power, like the Ryzen 7 5700X, without overclocking. The price difference here is significant; I could sell my 5600 for about 300 PLN (80 Euros) and pick up a 5700X for around 400 PLN (100 Euros). Do you think the performance boost would justify the cost? Also, are games really utilizing 8 cores effectively?

Generally, once you hit 6 cores, gaming doesn't improve much. It might be worth checking the price differences near you for the 5600, 5600X, and 5700X to see if the 5700X is a good deal regardless. Sometimes, paying a bit more can lead to better overall performance later on.

So I could sell my 5600 for around 300 PLN and get the 5700X for about 400 PLN. I might also check AliExpress for cheaper options since I got my 5600 there.
