I'm currently using a Dell Latitude 7480 with 24GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD. My laptop isn't eligible for Windows 11, and I'm debating whether it's necessary to upgrade since I don't rely on Microsoft's antivirus and use Kaspersky instead. I'm also concerned about the longevity of my programs, games, and apps over the next 6 to 8 years if I don't purchase a new laptop. Additionally, if I force the upgrade to Windows 11, will it negatively impact my battery life or slow down my laptop?

Honestly, you might want to skip the Windows 11 upgrade and stick with what you're using. Since you have Kaspersky through work, it might make more sense to just uninstall it and let Microsoft Defender do its thing. It's all about what you're comfortable with—Windows 11 might not be a necessity for you, especially if your current setup runs fine!
Is Microsoft Defender really that good compared to Kaspersky? I’ve heard mixed reviews.
