Cracking Noise Near CPU: Anyone Else Experienced This?

Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC with a 9800X3D, a 5070Ti, and a Gigabyte B650 EAGLE motherboard, paired with an ARCTIC Freezer 36 cooler. After powering it on, I noticed a weird cracking noise coming from around the CPU area that starts a few seconds after the PC turns on. It gradually gets louder until it reaches a steady max volume. The PC seems to work fine while gaming, even for long sessions. I tried adjusting some connectors, but that didn't help. I'm pretty concerned because the noise sounds electrical. I originally thought it might be related to the thermal paste bubbling due to overheating since I had to loosen the cooler to avoid a GVA LED issue, but I don't think that's possible since the noise starts right away. Has anyone else encountered something similar?

I get what you’re saying about the noise. If it keeps happening even when the CPU fan is off, it might be coil whine. But you’re right, coil whine usually sounds like a high-pitched jet noise. Maybe this cracking is something else and not related to the fans. Just keep an eye on it!

Have you tried stopping the CPU fan while the PC is on? If the noise keeps going when the fan isn’t spinning, it's likely something else. Otherwise, it could just be fan noise. Also, make sure the sound isn’t coming from your mic picking up the fan noise; that can happen too.
