Hey everyone, I've been using my iPhone 14 with iOS 18.7, and I've noticed something unusual. When I'm watching YouTube, it keeps jumping to different videos in the same playlist, and I thought I was just accidentally tapping the screen. But then I saw a little orange circle at the top right, indicating that an unknown app is using my microphone—even though I wasn't actively using it. Is this a glitch, or could my phone be compromised? I'm really not that tech-savvy, so any insight would help!

Running your phone in Airplane Mode is a good idea to see if the issue persists. These days, hacking can be pretty sneaky, but it sounds like you didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Just stay cautious and be aware of any suspicious messages!
Sounds like a weird glitch to me! Sometimes, bugs in apps can cause odd behavior. You might want to try restarting your phone if you haven't already. A lot of times that can clear things up. If it keeps happening, a factory reset could be a good option to consider, but only do that if nothing else works.
I’ve had a similar issue on my iPad Pro, and honestly, I don't think it’s anything to worry about. It’s probably just a software issue rather than a serious hack. Keep an eye on it, though!
