Why isn’t XMP working with my new CPU and four RAM sticks?

I just upgraded my CPU from a 7700X to a 9950X3D, and now my four sticks of Vengeance 6000 RAM won't work with XMP enabled. I keep getting blue screens instantly. It was working fine before the upgrade, so I'm not sure what's gone wrong. Any ideas?

Did you update your BIOS after upgrading the CPU? This is a crucial step when making such changes to ensure compatibility.

No, I didn't need to do that because my motherboard is newer than the CPU; I bought it about two weeks ago.

Getting all four sticks of DDR5 to run at full speed can be tricky. You were lucky it worked before! The 9950X3D is max rated for 3600 MT/s with four sticks, so you might want to consider a 2x32GB kit instead.

Damn, so I guess I need to rethink my setup?
