Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble setting up Nobara on my main PC. I have two SSDs and one HDD, and I disconnected them all to install a new SSD for Linux. The installation process seemed to work fine, but my BIOS won't display the boot option for the new drive. While the SSD is recognized in the BIOS, I still can't boot into Linux. Any suggestions or ideas on what might be going wrong?

Your motherboard is still pretty solid! I have a Z390 Phantom Gaming as well. If the SSD isn’t showing up for booting, there might be something weird going on with the SSD itself. You could also try using a different SSD to see if that changes anything. Secure boot is already disabled, right? That’s good. If all else fails, consider alternative distros like Arch or something that might be better recognized.
Have you checked the 'boot' tab in your BIOS settings? Sometimes it's just a matter of selecting the correct drive to boot from. If you can, share a screenshot of what you see in that section, and let's take a look together!
It could be worth double-checking your BIOS version. I read that sometimes flashing to the latest version can resolve issues like this. Did you try that yet? If you did and it didn't help, you might want to consider erasing the SSD and reinstalling to see if that fixes it.
I had a similar problem where my drive showed in the BIOS but wouldn’t boot. I ended up reinstalling Fedora on a different SSD and still faced the boot issue. I was able to see the drive in HDD security info, but that’s about it. Just to confirm, you did disable secure boot, right? You might need to experiment with different SSDs to see what works.
Unfortunately, it doesn't show up in the boot menu. I can see the drives under HDD security settings, but there's no boot option available. I reconnected my Windows SSD to update the UEFI, hoping that might help.
