I had Firefox minimized on my Ubuntu 24.04.3 desktop, but out of nowhere, it just maximized itself. I'm concerned that this could be a sign that I've been hacked. Is there a way to check for any security issues?

It might be that you accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut, like Super + a number key for your Firefox. It's really unlikely that it’s a malware issue if your browser just popped back up like that.
Classic case of 'Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair'! Just check your keyboard shortcuts to see if anything's set up that could cause this.
Just a heads up, if you're really worried about someone remotely accessing your machine, there are ways to check your settings for any remote connections. But I doubt that's what's happening here.
Honestly, if malware were involved, it wouldn't be that obvious. There’s probably a different reason for the window maximizing. You should check your settings, though.
