How can I change my PSD file associations to open in Adobe InDesign instead of Krita?

I downloaded a PSD file from my dual credit college course's MyCanvas site, and now it's automatically opening in Krita. I need to ensure that it opens in Adobe InDesign instead. Is there a way to change the default program for these files? Also, is my file safe? I've heard that files with an .exe extension can be dangerous, but this one just has a .psd extension.

Glad to hear you did a full scan! Just a .psd file is usually safe, as long as you didn't download it from a sketchy source. It’s good to be cautious, but you should be fine if VirusTotal didn’t flag anything!

You can change the file association by right-clicking the PSD file, selecting 'Open With,' and then choosing Adobe from the list. Make sure to click 'Always use this app' so it sets it as the default program! If you don't see Adobe right away, you may need to click on 'More apps' to find it.
