Is This Gaming PC Build Worth It?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of putting together my very first gaming PC and I've spent some time crafting a build. I've set a budget of €2500, and though I'm a bit over that, I'm really drawn to how it looks. I just want to make sure it's a solid build overall. Are there any major issues with it or anything important that I should consider before finalizing? Here's a [link to my build](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/zwzX8Q).

It looks alright at first glance! Just a heads up, I’ve only built one PC myself, so I’m no expert. But it seems solid to me!

Before diving in, could you share what you'll mainly be using the PC for? Your build looks decent, but I’d recommend steering clear of ASRock motherboards if you’re planning to use an x3D CPU. They had some issues with their newer chipsets. For gaming and regular use, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D would be more than enough without the added cost of the 9950X3D.

Thanks for the insight! I’ll primarily be gaming.

Any suggestions on a good motherboard?

Just to echo what others have mentioned, the 9800X3D is really all you’ll need for gaming, and it’s less pricey too.

Thanks for confirming that!

Honestly, this build looks like a beast for a first-timer! Just make sure your PSU wattage is sufficient and check the case airflow for heat management. And if you like the RGB, go for it!

Overall, it’s a solid build! As some have pointed out, avoid the AsRock mobo for your x3D CPU to prevent overheating issues. If you want to save a few bucks, consider cheaper AIO options or stick with a good air cooler. Also, PCIe 4.0 SSDs are a better deal than 5.0 right now—found one for about $50 per TB, which is a steal!

If gaming is your goal, you definitely don't need the 9950X3D. You might be overspending on some components. I found a more balanced build for around €2355—much better bang for your buck! Here’s the [part list](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/WCFm9C).
