I recently upgraded the RAM in my Lenovo LOQ Essential laptop from 12GB to a 16GB DDR5 4800MHz stick. Ever since the upgrade, my laptop has been randomly freezing and becoming unusable. However, when I switch back to the original 12GB RAM, everything operates smoothly without any issues. The system recognizes the 16GB RAM in Task Manager, and I even ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, which found no errors. Despite this, the freezing problem persists whenever I have the 16GB stick installed. Here are my specs: Lenovo LOQ Essential, RTX 3050, Intel i5-12450HX. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Have you tried testing the RAM modules individually? Since your laptop only has one RAM slot, you could use a different computer if you have one available, or test it with Memtest86. It's a more reliable tool for diagnosing RAM issues compared to the built-in Windows tool.
It might be worth checking if the RAM sticks match in timing and frequency. Even small differences can sometimes cause issues. If they don’t match, that could be the root of the freezing problem.
