Can I install GZDOOM on non-Debian Linux distributions?

There’s definitely a GZDOOM repo out there, and while the .deb package might work, I’d recommend looking for alternatives. Using tools like Distrobox allows for installing various package types, including .deb within a container.

Technically, you can install any package on any Linux distro, but it might not work perfectly—like using a Snap package on Arch. Personally, I always check my distro's package catalog first. For Fedora, I’d use `dnf search`, and for Arch, you can look in AUR.

If you're using Arch, chances are there's already a package made for it. I checked the AUR and found GZDOOM ready to install! Generally, it's best to use your package manager instead of downloading from websites, as that can cause dependency issues.
