I'm putting together a new computer and I'm just trying to figure out what SSD to use. I currently have a Crucial P3 Plus SSD in my existing setup and I'm considering using it in the new build. However, I'm unsure if it's sufficient or if I should invest in a new SSD, like the Samsung 990 Pro, for better performance.

If you’re mainly using it for gaming and as a boot drive, the Crucial P3 Plus should do just fine. You probably won't notice much difference in real-life performance, even though it doesn’t have DRAM. It’ll work well for your needs.
The P3 Plus is based on QLC flash, which might make it slower over time compared to other SSDs. It could suffice for now, but if you’re looking for longevity, a new drive might be the better route down the line.
Totally get that! I’m leaning towards a new one but I’m still weighing my options. Thanks for the insight!
Thanks for clarifying! That's what I needed to know. I mainly want to keep costs down, so sounds like I can stick with the P3 Plus.
