Which GPU Should I Choose for 5120×1440 Resolution?

I'm currently using a Radeon 6600 XT, but it's just not cutting it for gaming at 5120x1440 resolution. I'm thinking about upgrading to either a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or a Radeon 7900 XT. The RTX 5070 Ti seems to be faster but comes with 16GB of RAM, while the 7900 XT offers 20GB. Given my resolution, which GPU would perform better?

I use a 7900 XT with the same resolution, and I usually get over 90 fps in games like Battlefield and RDR2, even with some settings dialed back. I don't use FSR or any upscaling, so if you're okay with that, your frame rates might be even better.

I'd go with the 5070 Ti. It's newer and has DLSS, which can really help improve performance. The 7900 XT is an older generation and doesn't have access to the same features like FSR4. Plus, it has better ray-tracing performance and runs on less power. You probably won't hit the VRAM cap with most games, so the 16GB should be fine for your needs.

I was curious about the memory too! I heard that a super-wide screen like this can require more VRAM to handle rendering.
