I'm working with large Excel files and I require faster calculations. While I don't game much, I do watch a lot of videos and TV on my PC, so photo quality should be decent, though not the very best. I've noticed that my current memory usage is at 60% even when I'm not doing much, which often increases, indicating that my RAM is likely overwhelmed. I'm looking to spend around $1500 for something appropriate.

Also, are you considering a desktop or a laptop? For your large spreadsheets, a big, high-resolution monitor could really help—maybe even consider going for dual monitors.
