I've been struggling with my iPhone 16's WiFi turning back on automatically, even after I try to disable it. I've done all the usual fixes I found online: I've turned off auto-join for saved networks and disabled my carrier's auto-join feature too. My question is, can I completely turn off WiFi until I decide to reactivate it? Thanks in advance for your help!

From what I've read, if you turn WiFi off in the settings, it should stay off. Just be careful not to use the control center for this, since that seems to only hold for the day and will turn back on.
Thanks for the advice! I'll make sure to stick with the settings option.
Another option is to put your phone in airplane mode. This will cut off all network connectivity, including WiFi. Just remember to toggle it off when you want to use your phone again!
You might also want to check if there's a software update available. Sometimes these glitches can be fixed with a simple update. But definitely try turning off WiFi in the settings manually.
I appreciate that tip! I'll check for updates and see if that helps.
Yeah, that's the tricky part. The control center toggle can be a bit misleading since it resets itself after a while.
